端午节的意思是，很久很久以前。屈原在回国的路上，接连听到楚怀王客死和郢都攻破的自己的国城，很悲叹，对天长叹一声，投入了滚滚流水的长江中，江上的渔夫和岸上的百姓听说屈原大夫投江自尽，都纷纷来到江上奋力打捞屈原的尸体，怕鱼虾把他的尸体给吃了，但同时拿来了粽子、鸡蛋投入江中，让鱼吃这些东西，不要吃屈原大夫尸体 ，还有些郎中还把酒倒入江中，以便把鱼昏倒，让屈原大夫尸体不被伤害，从今以后端午节就是农历5月初5，定为了纪念屈原大夫。
粽子为什是三角形的，不是圆的、方的，是因为用少量的材料就可以做，各地包的材料不太一样,但基本都是植物的叶子,叶宽而长韧,但毕竟是叶子,宽度有限。三角形包法只用1叶或2叶就能包成，而长方形大概就要的3、4片了把。我们一家围坐餐桌旁，阿婆把热气腾腾粽子端上来，我们就把绳子解开，剥开一层层竹叶，露出那白白的热热的粽子来，粘着糖慢慢的吃起来，那味道软软的粘粘的，很可口，粽子有绿豆沙、红豆沙、红枣、猪肉、小豆、蛋黄、瘦肉馅的，品种繁多，我们边吃边聊其乐融融。就这样过了一个端午节。

The rice dumpling is made of glutinous rice,meat and so on. You can eat different kinds of rice dumplings.They are very delicious.And Dragon Boat Festival is for Qu Yuan. He is an honest minister who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a river.
